Two Niagara University alumni were among the “40 Under Forty” up-and-coming leaders honored by Buffalo Business First at its virtual 40 Under 40 Awards ceremony on Nov. 19, 2020.

Matthew Leardini, a 2006 graduate of the College of Business Administration's MBA program, and Richard Phillips III, a 2011 graduate of the College of Arts & Sciences' bachelor's degree program in criminology and criminal justice, were among the young professionals recognized for their career success and community involvement. Leardini is vice president of search and advertising at Synacor Inc., and Phillips is a police officer with the Amherst Police Department.

Since 1991, the publication has selected young Western New York professionals for the honor. This year's class brings the total number of honorees to 1,160.
